Stephen C. Stone, C.P.A. worked for a “big eight” firm and several D.C. and northern Virginia tax-oriented C.P.A. firms before forming Stone and Spring in 1992. He completed most work toward M.S. Taxation at GMU, as well as extensive continuing education with focus on tax. He is a member of the American Institute of C.P.A.s Tax Division, and brings over 30 years’ experience with business and individual tax matters with emphasis on real estate, construction, professional services, estate and family gift planning, retirement plans, investments, tax-exempt organizations, etc.
Rebecca “LeAnn” Holmes joined us in 1993. LeAnn heads up our “small business” operation, managing those clients’ accounting and tax systems, is our payroll matters specialist, and helps resolve IRS collections matters.
Michelle M. Hur, C.P.A. joined us in August 2005 (after 10+ years “big Eight” and corporate internal audit) and so now brings nearly 25 years CPA firm and corporate experience. Michelle’s MBA and heavy corporate experience equip her for our more difficult accounting and tax assignments.
Cynthia (Cindy) Pearson, C.P.A. joined us in 2007 (after 15+ years with CPA firms and private companies) and so now brings nearly 25 years of experience to her work assisting with corporate and individual accounting and tax planning.
Suzanne Slatkin, C.P.A. joined us October 2012, after over 20 years in entertainment management and real estate accounting. Suzanne assists with business and individual accounting and tax reporting and planning.
Sandra (Sandy) Ramey joined us in 2003; Sandy assists with firm administration, continuing her 25+ years of private companies’ experience.
Samiran (Sam) Sigdel joined us January 2014 assists Steve with administrative matters (including “IT”) while working with small business clients too. Sam is majoring in business (accounting concentration) at George Mason U.
Melanie Wedel joined us recently after nearly 15 years with D.C. Metro and Chicago public accounting firms; Melanie's extensive tax and accounting experiences include work on federal contracts.
